An initiative of the\u00a0Non-Violence Foundation<\/b>, Mahatma Gandhi College of Social Work was envisioned in 2010 with the aim of empowering rural communities in Champaran, Bihar. Our unique\u00a0hybrid model of education<\/b>\u00a0was designed to contribute towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals while promoting socio-economic development along the Indo-Nepal border. Despite our commitment to community development, initiating the college in Champaran faced significant\u00a0technical challenges<\/strong>. At that time, the\u00a0University Grants Commission (UGC)<\/strong>\u00a0had no clear guidelines for social work education, and universities in Bihar were not aware of the\u00a0Master of Social Work (MSW)<\/strong>\u00a0program, making affiliation difficult. However, with the introduction of the\u00a0New Education Policy (NEP)<\/strong>\u00a0and the growing recognition of\u00a0hybrid and online learning models<\/strong>, higher education in India has undergone a revolutionary transformation. The\u00a0UGC\u2019s upgraded policies\u00a0<\/strong>on distance and online learning, coupled with the government\u2019s mandate to integrate hybrid education, have created the perfect opportunity for us to fulfill our vision.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
